FRSKY Archer Plus R10+

The Archer Plus R10+ is a 10-channel ACCESS/ACCST D16 receiver — the non-stabilized sibling to the SR10+. Both ACCESS and ACCST D16 protocols are supported with automatic smart-matching during binding. Enhanced anti-RF-interference capability delivers solid RF performance in all environments. FBUS support enables single-wire bidirectional telemetry pairing with ADV sensors and Neuron ESC. With SBUS In for signal redundancy and OTA firmware updates in ACCESS mode, the R10+ is the right choice for aircraft running a dedicated flight controller where onboard stabilization would conflict, or for any build where direct control and channel flexibility are the priorities.

Why We Recommend This

The Archer Plus R10+ gives you 10 channels with auto-protocol matching and FBUS telemetry without the added complexity of the stabilized SR series — our pick for builds with a dedicated flight controller where you want modern Archer Plus compatibility at a clean price. FPV Builds RC provides U.S.-based product support, receiver-selection assistance, and setup guidance for FrSky products purchased through our store.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Which FrSky transmitters are compatible with the Archer Plus R10+?

The R10+ is compatible with FrSky transmitters and RF modules supporting ACCESS (including X18, X18S, X18SE, X18RS, X20, X20S, X20RS, X20 Pro, X20 Pro AW, X20 R, X14, X14S, X14RS, X-Lite S, Taranis X9 Lite S) or ACCST D16 (including Taranis X9D, X9D Plus, QX7, QX7S), subject to compatible transmitter and receiver firmware and applicable regional FCC/LBT versions. The protocol is smart-matched automatically during binding. Browse our full transmitter lineup at https://www.fpvbuildsrc.com/frsky-transmitters

What is the difference between the R10+ and the SR10+?

Both are 10-channel ACCESS/ACCST D16 Archer Plus receivers. The SR10+ (Stabilized Receiver) adds a built-in 3-axis gyro/accelerometer for self-leveling flight modes. The R10+ is the non-stabilized version — the right pick for aircraft running a dedicated flight controller, FPV multirotors, or any build where you want direct control without onboard gyro processing.

What is the difference between ACCESS and ACCST D16 modes?

ACCESS is FrSky's newer protocol with OTA firmware updates, improved telemetry, and enhanced security. ACCST D16 is the older, widely-compatible protocol. The R10+ auto-matches the correct protocol during binding — both older Taranis and newer ACCESS transmitters bind without any manual setup.

Does the R10+ support OTA firmware updates?

Yes — in ACCESS mode. OTA firmware updates are delivered from your transmitter via ETHOS or EdgeTX/OpenTX. In ACCST D16 mode, OTA updates are not available.

How do I use FBUS for telemetry on the R10+?

Assign a channel port to FBUS mode in your transmitter's settings. Connect ADV sensors (FAS, GPS, VARI) or a Neuron ESC. Bidirectional data flows on a single wire — sensor readings stream live to your transmitter screen with no S.Port hub needed.

Can I use the R10+ in a dual-receiver redundancy setup?

Yes. The R10+ has an SBUS In port that allows it to serve as the primary receiver in a redundant setup — connect the SBUS Out of a second FrSky receiver to the SBUS In port, and the R10+ switches to the backup signal if the primary link is lost. This is common in large-scale or high-value aircraft where a link failure would be catastrophic.

Does FPV Builds RC offer setup support for the Archer Plus R10+?

Yes — we're a U.S.-based FrSky dealer happy to help with binding and FBUS wiring. Browse our full FrSky receiver range at https://www.fpvbuildsrc.com/frsky-receivers
